OUR BRAKE DISCS

Our brake disc program includes two main types of, high performance, brake discs. For low to midrange application we use a new casting technology. For high-performance discs a special hot pressing is required. Based on performance requirements these hot-pressed disc types, have several different compositions.

Let's break it down.

  • Cast Aluminum-MMC brake discs

The cast brake disc line covers brake discs and brake drums for subcompact and compact cars front and rear, for medium cars, rear discs.
These discs are produced with a cost effective, new casting process. This State of the Art process, was developed for producing Aluminum alloys with high ceramic particle contents to guarantee maximum performance.
Aluminum-Composite brake discs made with this advanced process show up to 80% less wear compared to cast iron discs and come with very competitive cost.
  • High performance brake discs
These brake discs come with several different compositions based on the performance requirements. Complex friction layers that contain particles, intermetallic phases and dispersoids, realize unmatched performance. Typical maximum disc diameter is about 500mm. This is sufficient for almost every Automotive application including commuter trains. All CBS hot-pressed Aluminum-Composite brake discs show a wear reduction of more than 99.2%
